Bidvest Tank Terminals has an opportunity for a Quality Systems Manager. This opportunity exists within the Technical Department, based in Head Office, reporting to the Risk Manager The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria
Job description
The main purpose of the job:
- The incumbent in this position will develop, implement and sustain an Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with required industry standards (ISO14001, ISO 9001, ISO45001) and business requirements across the entire organization
The successful candidate will engage in the following activities:
- Ensure that all quality incidents are reported, investigated, and learnings disseminated
- Ensure that all Risk Assessments for your area of responsibility is completed and reviewed
- Develop, implement and ensure maintenance of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) which contributes to the sustainability of the organization
- Ensure that Quality Policy (part in Business Policy), Processes, Procedures and related documents are developed and maintained in consultation with the Head of Departments
- Provide input into the change management process in terms of the impact of changes on the Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
- Develop, implement and maintain the Audit & Assurance framework
- Lead internal audits when required
- Ensure that all certification and surveillance Integrated Management System (IMS)audits are planned and communicated to all relevant stakeholders within the organization
- Ensure that all findings/ recommendations from internal and external audits are properly tracked and effectively closed on Isometrix
- Set up an effective and efficient document and records management system (Share Point)
- Submit monthly management reports as per business requirements

Minimum requirements
- Relevant Manufacturing/Operations/Engineering/Quality Degree
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the quality management field
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing a Quality Management System (QMS) / Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Registered as a Lead Auditor with a Certification Body on ISO 9001, 14001, 18001/45001 would be advantageous
- Experience in the Chemical/ Petrochemical industry would be advantageous
- Experience in Bulk Gas Storage Facility/Terminal Operations would be advantageous
- Preparation and management of budgets
- Detailed understanding of SHEQ management systems (ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO9001)
- Good knowledge of industry applicable regulations & legislation (Bulk Liquid & Gas Storage & Handling Industry)
- Experience in dealing with external stakeholders
- Supervisory experience would be advantageous
